Models Close-up "Making it abroad"

Hello my dear readers, and I´d also like to welcome those who have recently joined is a pleasure to have your interest, this time I bring a small post dedicated to Panamanian models that are making their way abroad. While in Panama there are many modeling agencies Wilhelmina Panama Talents, I think, is definitely one of the leaders in terms of export of national models having placed their boys / girls on catwalks as the likes of Milan and New York as well as in foreign magazines . Thanks to the willingness of the agency´s team  the models took time out of their busy schedules to comment on their experiences in the international modeling industry, their answers below:

TRANSLATION: Well I can tell you that the experience I reached in Milan opened many doors in different shapes and markets, I had the opportunity to be the face of different brands and being in the European Fashion Weeks, have met face to face with the major names in the industry, had the opportunity to make friends around Europe but more importantly it created me as a person and helped me become a better model.

TRANSLATION: Well, I've been modeling off Panama for 3-4 years, in the city of New York for Wilhelmina Models. At first it was a very big shock because the modeling outside of Panama is very different. Currently I have several regular customers who hire me, including DKNY, Alexander Wang, Nicole Miller, Chloe, NY & Co, etc. Between the high seasons I dedicate to more comercial jobs. I worked for Conair, Kohl's, Skintimate, DSW, L'oreal, among others. Also, being in New York has given me the opportunity to travel. I traveled to the city of Paris for three seasons for the Fashion Weeks working with designer Nicole Miller.

TRANSLATION: As in all jobs and businesses, there are positive and negative things. Everything is an experience and if you want to be a model, you have to work at it. My experience was a great touch, I lived with other male models and of course ... girls and their Dolce & Gabanna styles, all trying to make our way in the industry, is to be in showbiz. It's fun. Hard, but fun. It was a roller coaster. Everything is difficult at first, but the best advice I could give any model that is going to be international, is the love for what you are. People will push you, and it will be very difficult. There will be times when you doubt yourself, and that's when your best friend will be You.
Also, very  important, have fun doing this work.

TRANSLATION: My experience as a model in the international fashion industry has been excellent. I have had the opportunity to travel and to visit places I never thought, being so young, and has been a wonderful experience. When I travel to different places, living there for a certain amount of time at least two months, I have the opportunity to live with the people who live there and not simply as a tourist trip for a couple of days. Learning their culture, religion, language, food, people and the beauty of each country itself. Adapt to different environments, completely different to the one I was raised, I must say that has been my favorite part.
----------------------------------------
No doubt they are boys / girls to consider and watch their careers closely. As an agency with an impressive portfolio of national models, and international, Wilhelmina ensures helping their models to climb the ladder of the rough fashion industry and in turn becomes a pillar which educates, where models can grow and national talent shines.

*Thanks to Wilhelmina Panama Talents for contacting the models for me and the pictures.

Hugs, Andru.
